Dez smacked his mom in face with his baseball cap

Getting worse for Dez as the 911 Call and police report has now been released, read here.

According to the incident report, Bryant became angry when his mother asked him to leave her home during an argument Saturday afternoon. Initially, at a Tuesday news conference, Smith said Bryant slapped his mother in the face, but the police report, which was released later Tuesday, clarified that Bryant allegedly grabbed her by her T-shirt and hair and “hit her across the face with his ball cap.”

Angela Bryant, whose T-shirt and bra were allegedly torn during the incident, indicated on a 911 call that this was not the first time she was assaulted by her son.

“I can’t keep letting him do this,” said Angela Bryant, who made the call from the nearby home of family friend and adviser David Wells. “I can’t keep letting him do me like this. I’m tired. I’m going to put an end to it today. I’m going to put an end to it today. I’m tired.”

Officers who responded to the 911 call from Bryant’s mother did not observe any injuries, and she did not complain of pain at the time, according to the report. On Monday, after officers contacted Bryant’s mother at her home, the report states that she said she had pain in her wrists, hands and arms. Officers observed swelling around her wrists at that time, according to the report.

Remember how everyone was enthralled with how big Dez’s hands were before he came into the NFL. Not good when you are using these hands to bully your mom around her house.

And I know his mom is tired of Dez treating her like this. Well I am sure Dez was tired of his mom being involved in the crack game while he was a child.

We don’t know what really happened. From listening to the audio of the 911 call that you tagged her story is shaky IMO. First she says he was there “now”, then says he left in a car / SUV asking others which way he went. I can’t say I’m buying what she’s selling! I can see her wanting more money and virtually holding him up at the proverbial gun point. This is not Mother Teresa folks!

She was so distracted during that call! She couldn’t or wouldn’t focus on the conversation for some reason. Did you notice that the operator called her Ms Wells? I’m guessing the caller id showed “Wells”. I’m wondering if she has a job? Is Dez supporting her? Very strange family dynmaic going on there. I can’t relate. But then again, my mom wasn’t a crackhead that did time in prison. I HOPE Dez cuts ties with this woman and gets his self together! He could lose his NFL career over dealing with this! Wake up Dez! This is a toxic family! Too much family drama!

Anyone remember Tawana Brawley? Don’t convict the guy just yet …..

Either way, this doesn’t look good. It’s an embarrassment to the Cowboys and makes Jerry Jones out to be a fool (which he is, but that’s beside the point).

Dez Bryant is a piece of work. Sued for unpaid jewelry and tickets, banned from a mall for bad fashion, interrogated after an altercation at a night club in Miami, of all places, and now he’s been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, right before training camp. Talk about bad timing.

Yeah, his mother will never win the Mother of the Year award, and maybe she and his half-brother were hitting him up for money. I don’t know. But if things are that bad at home, don’t go there. When you’re a professional athlete, especially when you’re a Dallas Cowboy, a featured player on the highest profile team in the league, you avoid these situations at all costs. It’s that simple.

You don’t see trouble surrounding Romo, Witten, or any other player for that matter. Romo pulled over to help an elderly couple change a flat tire. The worst thing you can say about him is that he plays golf. Witten runs a football camp for kids and attends charity events. That’s positive publicity. And then there’s the mess that is Dez Bryant.

This was supposed to be his breakout season. This was supposed to be the year when he knew his routes and didn’t disappear in the second half. He’s had a good off-season, OTAs, minicamps, but then he blows it all up before training camp.

When Dez Bryant was drafted in the 1st round and given the number 88, I said way too much is expected of this kid. There’s Jerry Jones, smiling proudly, as if he were some sort of transformative father figure with a checkbook. That hasn’t worked out very well.

And where is Dez’s real father in all this? Oh, that’s right, notably absent. Go figure.

These Cowboys have very little to no depth at receiver behind Austin and Bryant. So for Bryant to screw up like this, it just makes everything problematic.

Instead of good news about how the Cowboys are improving, all we’re going to get is bad news about how Dez Bryant slapped his mother around. The media is going to jump all over this. And it will be a distraction.

11-5, seriously, Fanatic? Seriously. I know where you’re coming from, believe me I know. I’ve been watching the Dallas Cowboys play football for fifty years, and I always want them to win. But, more often than not, I’m disappointed.

We’ll see how this season plays out. We will see. Tom Landry said, “All you can do is stand on the sideline and suffer.” Yeah, and we’ve suffered enough.

You’re getting emotionally involved in football again, Fanatic. And you can’t do that. It will only make you mad. Do what I do, and make a joke about it. These are the Dallas Cowboys, after all.
