Are any Cowboys players going to defend Romo?

Seems Chris Canty wants to get some attention this week by talking about the Cowboys…

Canty trashes Romo on SportsNation

Now Canty has friends on the Cowboys in DeMarcus Ware, Marcus Spears and Jay Ratliff. Are we going to hear any of them step up and tell Canty to go screw? Nah. They will sit back and allow Romo to get dragged in the mud like usual. And we all know that shitty defense was a bigger problem than Romo throwing a few picks.

First off you’re right, it would be nice but unlikely that anyone of those named will step up and back Romo. Faulk & Sapp were ripping Canty’s comments last night as he was saying that JPP is the 2nd coming of Reggie White. Faulk said and pretty accurately that with the other guys on that line such as Osi & Tuck that JPP was only getting single blocking. Compared that to Ware who will see 2 and 3 guys at times. Apparently, the other 3 haven’t helped Canty bump his sack numbers. Sapp said for a guy with 16 sacks in 8 seasons, he talks too much!

It’s in your clip on 32 in 32, but both of these guys gave their opinions on the season. Faulk has us making the playoffs and winning one game. Sapp, who’s an actual fan of the Boys, said they don’t make the playoffs. D is better he said but not good enough to push into the playoffs. Pretty much what a lot of us have been saying here that the D is a big weak link. Improved on the back on but the front leaves a lot to be desired.

One thing Canty said is they believe they can apply enough pressure to make a mistake. Don’t I feel the same way about Eli? Don’t we feel that applying pressure to any QB is the key to beating them. Brady is great when no push from the middle. The Giants collapsed the middle on him and he struggle the whole game.

Eli throws more picks and fumbles the ball at a greater rate. Eli has 129 INT’s in 119 starts with 68 fumbles. Romo has 72 INT’s in 77 starts, with 45 fumbles.

How about this.. when is Promo going to defend HIS team and tell Canty to go to hell ???

I guess that’s to much to ask for a person who let TO take the fall for his short comings in 2008.
