Broaddus talks draft and toughness on GAC

There are not going to be a whole lot of people saying the Cowboys are one of the toughest teams in the league…

Romo is one of the toughest players on this team. Sad that you can’t find more than three guys on the defense who are tougher than Romo. Ratliff, Lee and Ware.

The Janoris Jenkins fans have to stop talking about him to the Cowboys because it’s not happening…

Upshaw seems like the favorite right now. If the Cowboys resign Anthony Spencer next month that will probably change.

I like upshaw but I don’t know about him rusher the passer constantly. In the senior bowl he didn’t get any pressure. In the practices he was decent. I need to see what we do in free agency before I get confident about the what I think but right now I think the guard. All the corners I think will be gone. I don’t think we spend big more on the oline in free agency. I think we will pursue mario williams because jerry is going to like the idea of ware and williams together. I don’t know if we get him. I think the guard is the safe pick but if kirkpatrick or claiborne come close to our pick I would jump to take them.

If find it odd that the ex scout broaddus is given his analysis of stuff when he admits they didnt have it right when he was with dallas.
There is a reason this guy is a EX SCOUT!!!!!!! Im no longer intresested in listing to any scout that was helping JJ draft in those lost years..

Ill go back to wes bunting

When I commented a couple of posts ago that these Cowboys don’t have heart, I meant they don’t have the will to win. What other conclusion can you draw when you have a team that consistently, year after year, fades in the fourth quarter, blows leads, fails in December, and even if they make the playoffs loses in the first round, except once in fifteen years?

It comes down to talent evaluation and personnel development. At some point you have to question the scouting department and the coaching staff. The former is run by who? Jud Garrett. The latter is run by who? Jason Garrett. But all personnel decisions are made by who? Jerry Jones.

Back in the day when the Cowboys were winning playoff games and Super Bowls, it was all Tex Schramm, Tom Landry and Gil Brandt. Later it was all Jimmy Johnson. He had the advantage of knowing college scouts and coaches. But the greater fact remains that these men all knew how to recognize talent and how to put players in positions to be successful.

Nice job on that 2009 draft, Jud. Nice job at game management, Jason. Nice job at personnel decisions, Jerry. And what did it get you? The highest paid roster in the league and an 8-8 record.

How do you know Jenkins is not going to play the Cowboys? I really think Cowboys need to reevaluate Anthony Spencer. I don’t think Upshaw is an upgrade of Spencer. He was very good player not a great player for Tide.
